Good friends... or bad...??

I’ve been thinking about Tim Storey’s quote from Saturday (read it under ‘motivation’ "http://www.getstorey.com" here). He’s right (as always), but how can you tell if your friends are the right kind that will help you reach your goals. And if they’re not, do you have to just drop them? That’s kinda harsh, isn’t it?

Like always, Tim Storey is absolutely right! His quote of the day (<"http://www.getstorey.com"> here) talks about walking by faith and not sight. It’s so true and so important. If we don’t have faith we’ll never get through life. It is too hard!

Tim Storey gave some excellent advice in his blog today, especially for younger people like me. He said we live in a world of three screens: the TV screen, the PC screen, and the cell phone screen. He warned that we have to be careful that we don’t spend too much time on any or all of them, even though they’re important to function in the world today. Tim Storey gives great advice

One thing I learned from Tim Storey's book, Utmost Living, is to forget what other people say is important. You have to decide what’s important to you for yourself. A lot of people might get mad if you don’t agree with them, but it’s the only way to be happy!

I love how Tim always says God didn’t bring you this far just to leave you. It’s like, if God has helped you in the past, he’ll help you now. That’s way cool!

If anyone out there hasn’t looked up Tim Storey’s youtube page, you should seriously go. He has clips from a bunch of his sermons and stuff and it’s really cool. I love what he says about everyone having a godgiven calling.

Tim Storey helps so many people!!

I saw Tim Storey at dinner last night. Not only was he great with my students, but he also helped my wife and I out of a sticky situation and he’s become a good friend of ours. It was good to see him and he was still as interested in how we are doing. We talked for a little bit and it sounds like he’s busier than ever. I guess that’s a good thing. Tim Storey is always helping people out, so the more he can help, the better.

I invited Tim Storey to speak to the students of the high school I administer. He spoke to them for a little over an hour, with a positive reaction from the students the whole time. I had my teachers ask their students what they thought and to measure any affect his presentation might have had on the students. The majority responded that they enjoyed the assembly and many shared insights they gained from Tim Storey.

In general, my students seemed more optimistic in the weeks following Tim Storey’s visit and several teachers indicated a slight, though noticeable improvement in student performance. I never expected Tim Storey to be such an effective motivator, even thought I had a lot about him.
